SugarPrompt is an Apple HealthKit client that allows its users to store and read blood glucose levels to and from the phone's local health store. SugarPrompt requires HealthKit access to show health data to the user and to add health data entered or imported by the user. Entered and imported data is stored directly into HealthKit. SugarPrompt does not store health data within the app, nor send it to anyone else.
When using the Apple Watch app, the most recent blood glucose sample will be sent to and stored on the watch. Data entered on the Watch will be saved directly to HealthKit and is synced back to the phone by the operating system.
